Dare to step forward- Part 4

I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3: 13-14

Fact 3: Strain toward what is ahead

What is ahead? What is the meaning of life? Does my life matter? Where am I headed? A path I have not walked before? Are you afraid to step forward?

In the original language, the Scriptures tell us to strain, stretch, look forward, reach forward, reaching out for the things that lie ahead.

This means:

  1. They are attainable
  2. They are for me to reach out and
  3. They are worth the stretching and the stepping forward.

What lies ahead? See, you are called to live a life of significance and purpose. You were created by God for a purpose. You were created uniquely by God. He knew you before you were born. You are called for a journey with the Lord.

So Dare to Step Forward….in spite of what was behind

But this is a path I have not walked before. But God did walk it before you. He prepared the path for you.

Listen I pray that for the year to come, you experience what the Lord is saying today to You:

30 The Lord your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes, 31 and in the wilderness. There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.”

32 In spite of this, you did not trust in the Lord your God, 33 who went ahead of you on your journey, in fire by night and in a cloud by day, to search out places for you to camp and to show you the way you should go. Deuteronomy 1: 30-33

So Dare to Step Forward….in spite of what was behind

Happy New Year 2017
