 “Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.” James 3: 4

The word of God tells us that the tongue that is the words coming out of your mouth can stir your whole life, and can change your direction like the ship with a small rudder, so never underestimate the impact of your words. Some of our behaviors are directly linked to our words and conversation. We tend to believe more what we say than believing what others say to us. With time what we keep saying about ourselves and about our situations we start believing them and at the end they become our reality, obviously a false one. We tend to start forgetting who we really are and what we are made of. Today God wants you to remember to

Look to the rock from which you were cut” Isaiah 51:1.

This rock is your true reality and identity not the negative words you spoke about yourself or your situations. So think about your words and if not careful you will soon be sailing in the wrong direction away from your God’s intended direction for you.
